Oh, dear, what have I done? I’m going to be trapped between 1991 and 2009 for the next week. Amazingly, I didn’t have much Pearl Jam in my collection, so I went for the discography through 2009. All I had was “Ten”.
I didn’t go to sleep until 4 for my nap. That nap lasted until 11. I think I may be up for the night. Which is cool because I’m pretty motivated. I put the coffee down 1 cup after my morning nap and drank a ton of iced water and I feel great. I didn’t realize how much the coffee was weighing me down physically. It perks me up a bit, but after the first cup, it is just this weight in my stomach that drags my whole body down. I don’t like it now that I see it. Icky.
So, I’m getting enough sleep, finally. It really doesn’t matter when I get it. If Doc sleeps in his room, I can do everything but use my bathtub and not wake him up. So I can do dishes tonight, and maybe deal with the short black book shelf. I am going to measure every book I have and arrange them in shelves around the house. Make the whole house the library. Most of the books will be in my room and the shelves together in the living room, but cook books are in the kitchen on a small shelf, and I want some books in the hutch. I may stash pulp paperbacks back there since it is behind the dining room table. No point in putting my vintage glassware in it, no one would see it.
I saw this design for champagne glasses with polymer clay on them. The pattern I saw was hideous, but the idea was solid. The clay bakes at a really low heat, and I can cool the glass down slowly so it doesn’t break. I need to go to Dollar Tree, the “primo” dollar store. They always have a nice stock of glassware. adds that to Doc’s list
I have to tell you about a site called Zello.com. It is built for visually organizing lists and projects. You create lists, and then add cards to them. You can add media to cards, such as a link to a tutorial for the project, or a picture of the materials you plan to use. Then you can change the order of the cards, so if you skip a step and have to add it later, or add buying information. You can create boards to sort your lists, and color code the backgrounds so you know at a glance which board you are working on. It it perfect for long term projects. My PRH Shop Xmas Boutique board is getting really full as I find things I can do with stuff I already have. If you have a lot of projects going and have a hard time keeping track of instructions, notes to self, and research for said projects, this is your website. And yes, it is completely free, for now. Use it! I can’t say enough good things about this site and how it has helped me not forget my Pinterest frenzy ideas for projects.
Let’s call that The Link and sign off.
