So . . . what did I say about my back? Just a few days ago. I said that if I could break down the barrier to my creative side and let some of the art out, I would stop hurting. For all those who were rooting for a physical cause? Sorry. As soon as I painted "Social Navigation" the other day, the pain stopped. It has not returned. Let's hear it for my brain taking me hostage!
And the fucking smurfs are back in the kitchen (#HallucinationsAreFun). If you have time, look them up on Wikipedia. They've been around since 1958, originating in Belgium. Their name is a Dutch translation of a nonsensical French word, Schtroumpf, used by the cartoonist's friend at dinner to refer to the salt, when he couldn't remember the proper word. You know I love an inside joke. And I love inside meanings and weaving obscure information into things that I do. This is a clue to an Easter Egg I will be putting in my new video.
I had to take the day off from video making, aside from a very messy notepad document full of notes and references. The computer simply shut off when introduced to any photo/audio/video software. So I had to give it the day off. And I'm actually going to turn it off tonight. I am so into what I am doing. Every time I go out to smoke, I sit and think of new things to add. Then I set up the new shots I need, or type frantically into the text doc. It's down to minor details mainly for my own entertainment and the hopes of a later cult following that will try to figure it out. Always thinking ahead, that's something my friend, Matt, taught me. Keep an eye on the pavement that melts, something may rise up out of it and you want to know before you hit it.
Chewy is starting to tire of cottage cheese in his kibble. He now has to be talked in to eating. Cottage cheese is the perfect solution. low fat, and full of calcium for a shiny coat. He's got a bit of fat and muscle on him, finally. He doesn't look like a shelter dog anymore.
Okay, things are starting to double up. While I can still (barely) focus with both eyes open, I'm going to go out on the veranda and have a smoke and finish my cafe au lait.
Good night, my lovelies.
