i forgot to mention

yesterday morning, Vader came home without his collar/tags. we keep (against the advice of the Animal Foundation) his Home Again tag on his collar along with his rabies vac. tag. by evening we had a phone call from Home Again saying someone had found our cat. Since we were looking at Vader at the time, we figured they found the tags. we got the phone number of the person and doc sent this:


"Hi - I'm sorry if I was somewhere I wasn't supposed to be, but I lost my collar, have you seen it?"

and he got a text right back from our neighbor saying that yes, she had found the tags. next door. far ranging Vader.

doc is over there now, getting the collar, and presumably having a beer for breakfast. since it's his evening.

Vader will be happy because he will be allowed to go out again. No ding, no out. Them's the rules. So, the break-away collars good. Home Again tags, good. The microchip must be amazing. Cutomer Service from Home Again, fabulous. Get your pet microchipped. Don't make the mistake we did with Jack and not do it and then lose him.
