vader looked high and low for that dove once i took it away. he even went into the garage and searched. i just sat and giggled at him.
then i was smoking a cigarette and i hear vader's bell behind me and a "plop". i turn around and he is standing proudly over a freshly dead dove. not the dove in the garage, a whole new dove. i checked it, but he had broken its neck. so now i have this dead bird i don't know what to do with. doc will want to bury it, so i had to save it and put it up high enough on the patio that the trinity won't get it.
and my coffee just finished brewing.
it's been that kind of morning. oh, and i couldn't catch vader to bring him in so who knows what he'll kill next. my"circle of life" attitude is wearing thin at this point. the dead mice and eviscerated lizards i can handle, but birds are so big and full of feathers and should be able to get away. where is this stash of stupid doves they have found?
and while we're on this, what is this sudden killing frenzy the three of them are on? or, more often, maiming frenzy. i had to rescue a bleeding lizard from them the other day.
and chewy is so funny. he barks when they get prey and bring it to the patio, i guess to let me know they are up to something.
last night during the storm, i was sitting outside on the patio, as is my wont in storms, and chewy was in the house freaking out and barking at me through the sliding glass door. i had to go inside and cuddle he and felix, who was also having a problem with the storm. and it did get loud out.
today it's nice and sunny. the sunrise was brilliant. streaky white clouds all over the sky. but it's humid. another monsoon (why do they call it a monsoon in the desert?) is coming. and i don't know if it's today or tomorrow. i hope it's today to break the humidity, but we'll see. i could just spend the day inside and not smoke so damn much. nah.
i'm trying to decide if chewy needs a walk. he went potties outside when i got up. he hasn't eaten since the last time he pooped. so, no, he doesn't need to go for a walk. good, because he ran himself ragged with the trinity this morning. if he's too tired to go to the park, i'm definitely too tired. emotionally drained at 7:15 in the morning. and i've been up for three hours. i got a whopping 2 hours sleep last night. i'm sure i'll make it up today. i've taken on the tradition of the siesta. and i sleep through the hottest part of the day.
tie to wake doc up. this should be unpleasant. his sleep schedule is off and he doesn't want to get up, but he needs to so he can sleep when he is supposed to later.
