triple digits this late in the season? hrmph

i took fred to the vet today. she is healthy, disease free, and on antibiotics for the wounds on her neck, most likely made by whomever mated with her. she's asleep under doc's chair now, having been released into general population. there is a chance she will have her kittens by saturday, but if not, she gets spayed. then vaccinated. she didn't get vaccinated today because of the fetal kittens. she'll get her shots after she's not pregnant anymore. she's about 9 months old. once the hormones aren't ruling her, she may go back to kittenhood herself and get some of her youth back. she's too young to have kittens. it's sad the decision we have to make about it, but i've lost cats and litters of kittens to situations like this and that is just too much pain to go through.

i slept on the couch last night. i woke up at 7:30 this morning and watched Kitchen Nightmares and called the vet. made an appointment for 9:30 and made a pot of coffee. i left at 8:45 because i've never walked up the hill before and i didn't know how long it would take me. it was brutal, the kennel was cumbersome to carry and fred was freaking out because of the cars and the noise. but i didn't have a panic attack this morning when i woke up. i forgot to take my night meds last night, but other than that, i think i want to sleep on the couch from now on.
