here's my theory on the US defaulting on its debt: not going to happen. the republicans are backed by wall street, there is no way they would put any of that in serious jeopardy. if wall street weren't hearing assurances from their republican pets, wall street and the stock market would already be freaking out, and it isn't. once it does, hope is lost. but until it does, the republicans are still just playing games.
