so i did. i took my CD player and headphones (i need new headphones, i hate these) and Pink's "I'm Not Dead", and a backpack to put the groceries in. it is much easier to carry the heavy things on your back than with your hands.
it was dusk. so it was kind of light when i left. i had doc's cell phone with me (i don't have one of my own, i have no need for one), and i called him when i got there and when i left. when i left, it was completely dark out. my night vision isn't great because of headlights, they blind me. so i mainly looked at the ground.
doc has commented that i don't move my arms when i walk, so i tried to see what he was talking about. i think i just hold them still when i have my messenger bag because it is on my left hip so i can't swing my left arm. i didn't have the messenger bag with me last night, so my arms were moving. doc is just weird.
i've been doing this thing where, when i'm out, i smile. closed mouthed, just a grin. but it makes people react in the coolest way. i especially had fun being really polite to the DMV people. they were flat out surprised. and they all smiled back at me. sometimes it takes a while, but people warm to me when i do this. and they don't expect someone to be smiling while waiting in line. it's fun.
did i mention that my ID photo is a really good photo of me? well, it is.
