then we went to the gelato shop where we were to meet rkmlai and his lovely girlfriend. we saw a couple sitting outside the shop but were unsure. so doc called him on his cell and then walked over to them as rkmlai answered his phone. a funny moment. we then had outstanding gelato and sat in a luxurious hallway in overstuffed chairs talking. i kept expecting someone to come kick us out, but no one ever did.
then the big dinner debate, which, while it sounded good on paper, didn't work out and we ended up coming here. by that time everyone was tired from the excitement (okay, maybe that was just me) and our new friends went back to where they are staying here in town.
by the way, rkmlai, if you don't leave today and are free tonight, we would love to take you guys out to dinner. =}
it was great fun and now i want to go back down to the strip, so much has changed in the three years i've been holed up in this apartment. so much stuff has changed. and i've been missing it.
and now i know how to take the bus down to the strip.
