i've noticed that something happens with communication when people live together for a long time. they speak in the middle of their thoughts and the other person can either say, "what the chocolate christ are you talking about?", or they can try to decipher it.

i do it to doc far more than he does it to me, but i only remember him doing it, another rule in long term relationships.

for example, last night i had my head in an anne rice novel and doc was at the computer. i hear him ask, "who's the lady on your page?" . . . ummmm . . . homepage? myspace page? blog? a glance at the computer reveals my lj layout colors. okay, some icon on my friends list? no. my lj page, my icon. frances farmer.

the rest of the conversation was just too silly as i tried to remind him who she was.

the strangely disturbing thing was when i realized he was reading my lj and laughing and started calling it "cute". he only read the recent entries, the happier ones. little does he know how i bore you with my masturbatory melodrama most of the time.

is anyone else watching the nike plane landing gear crisis, hour four on the news channels? slow slow news day.
